Dean’s Research Series: James Gilmore

Clemson Libraries is restarting the Dean’s Research Series with a talk by James Gilmore, associate professor of communication, Tuesday, November 4, at 4 p.m. in the Brown Room (416) of Cooper Library. The event will also be available virtually via Zoom.
Gilmore will speak on his most recent book, Bringers of Order: Wearable Technologies and the Manufacturing of Everyday Life. His research focuses on how computational data transform communication technologies, media industries, and cultural practices. He is also the author of Superhero Synergies: Comic Book Characters Go Digital (2014) and Orson Welles in Focus: Texts and Contexts (2018. He is currently editing The De Gruyter Handbook of Wearable Technologies and Society.
