In this program, Steve Wainscott will first speak about the life and times of Sergei Rachmaninoff, widely considered to be one of the greatest pianists of his age and, as a composer, one of the last representatives of the Russian Romantic tradition. The program concludes with a video performance of what is regarded as his grandest work, Piano Concerto #2 in C Minor.
