We are super-excited to welcome back Jason Anderson, founder of PreVeteran, for a special event highlighting PreVeteran’s vision for assisting our population succeed here at Clemson University.
Student veterans are often described as “transitioning from the military to civilian life.” That framing misses the real complexity. In reality, student veterans are navigating three distinct operating environments:1. The military environment — structured, explicit, mission-driven2. The higher education environment — decentralized, ambiguous, transitory3. The private-sector environment — market-driven, value-based, and highly contextual
Most student veterans are not explicitly taught how these environments differ — or how to operate effectively in each one. They are expected to figure it out as they go.
The challenge is not capability – It’s context.
