Adobe 2.0 Symposium

September 5, 2025 @ 8:30 am - 1:00 pm EDT

The Adobe Studio and Makerspace will celebrate 10 years of partnership with Adobe with a symposium featuring speakers, a panel discussion and workshops on Friday, September 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Watt Family Innovation Center.
Titled “Adobe 2.0: Envisioning the Next 10 Years of Active, AI-Driven and Experiential Learning,” the symposium highlights the ways in which Clemson students, faculty and staff have used Adobe products in their work and features a look at what might be coming in the future of Adobe and the industry.
Two Clemson alumni will deliver the keynote address at 9 a.m. Shauna Chung graduated from Clemson in 2022 with a Ph.D. in rhetorics, communication and information design and now works for Adobe as senior strategic development manager. Justin Hodgson graduated in 2009 from the same doctoral program and is associate professor of English at Indiana University, Bloomington. They will speak on how creative technologies, active learning, and scalable faculty development initiatives are empowering students and educators alike. From Adobe’s transformative partnerships to IU’s Digital Gardener program, this session will offer a compelling look at how institutions can cultivate the next generation of thinkers, makers, and leaders in an increasingly digital world.
The symposium also features a panel of students and faculty talking about the ways in which they use Adobe as well as workshops led by Adobe EDU employees. Chelsy Hooper, instructional technology specialist for the Ralph Brown Draughon Library at Auburn University, will also lead a hands-on session dedicated to creating videos with Adobe Express, showing attendees how to craft dynamic content by integrating animation and supporting graphics to easily build engaging videos for academic, professional, or personal projects. Prior Adobe experience is not required to participate.
The symposium is free and open to all Clemson students, faculty and staff. Registration is required.
