Join us at Clemson University for a 9/11 Memorial Stadium Stair Climb at Memorial Stadium, located on the Avenue of Champions in Clemson, SC, USA. This in-person event is a heartfelt tribute in remembrance of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. We will be honoring first responders, specifically Clemson University Police Department, Clemson Fire Department, and Clemson Emergency Medical Services.
Lace-up your sneakers and challenge yourself to climb the stadium stairs, symbolizing the resilience and strength of our nation. This year’s theme is: Remembering 9/11 With the Spirit and Patriotism of 9/12. Together, let’s remember and pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Don’t miss this opportunity to show your support and make a difference alongside your community.
Enter Memorial Stadium at Gate 1/Student Entrance and head directly to the Registration Table to get checked in. (Left side of the stadium when facing the front.). Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.; the event begins promptly at 8:30 a.m.
Register now! Attendance will be capped at 400. Pre-registration is required.
Please bring a thank-you card for a first responder. These will be delivered to local first responders on 9/12.

What if I can’t climb the stairs?
No problem! Join us for the overall program and walk the lower-level concourse instead of climbing the stairs.
Where can I park?
Most attendees will have a Clemson University parking pass and should park in approved lots. For community guests, metered parking is available on Fort Hill St. and near Fike Recreation. Will the event be canceled for inclement weather?
The event will still be held if it’s raining; the rain plan is to move the event under the covered areas of the lower concourse. In the event of severe weather, the 9/11 Memorial Stadium Stair Climb will be canceled and those who have registered will be notified by email.
Is the Memorial Stadium clear bag policy in effect for this event?
Yes, the clear bag policy is in effect for this event, so we ask that you do not bring backpacks or rucksacks to the event. You are welcome to carry a flag while climbing stairs, if you’d like to do so.
