Testing Requirements

Residential students should make plans to complete required pre-arrival testing for COVID-19 during the Winter Break. As indicated, all residential students should provide either a positive test that has been administered October 1 or later, or a negative test administered between December 28 – January 2.

Please refer to the University communication on December 16 for information about the types of tests that are accepted, and to refer to resources for local or other testing options. All results should be uploaded to the Upload Tool. Additional resources and information can also be found on Clemson’s COVID-19 website.

Residents may return to campus starting on January 3 at 8 am. All residents must complete an on-arrival test, in addition to meeting pre-arrival testing requirements, as soon as they return to campus. Go to main campus testing to sign up for your on-arrival test. Testing will be available on January 3 from 7am-3pm and on January 4-8 from 7am-2pm.

Regular weekly testing requirements resume the week of January 11.

If you have questions about testing or returning to campus,

What if on-campus testing is closed when I arrive?

If you have completed pre-arrival testing/are cleared but cannot go to your on-arrival test on the DAY OF because testing is closed, you may do your on-arrival test first thing the following morning.

Can someone come to help me move-in or drop me off?

Yes. Just be sure you and your guests are wearing masks and remember that overnight guests are prohibited.

Do we have move-in appointments?

No. You will simply need to follow the testing policies and the process above.

What if I want to change my room assignment?

The room change request process will open January 14 in the Clemson Home Portal under the forms tab.

Can I move in early?

Residence Halls will open Sunday, January 3 starting at 8:00am.

When can I apply for housing for 2021-2022?

The Continuing Student Sign-up process will open on January 20. Read our sign-up page for more info.
