What is the Residential Experience Model (REM)?

REM, or the Residential Experience Model, is a curricular approach to the learning that students experience outside of the classroom. We believe that our residential halls and apartments are opportunities for students to learn valuable lessons that will promote student success. Aligned with the mission of Clemson University and rooted in theories about student learning and development, REM seeks to provide structure to the learning that students will experience by sequencing information and experiences throughout the year that meet the needs of our students and connect them to resources that will help them grow and learn.
