Since adopting REM in 2013, we have found many benefits to our work, specifically around four areas. First, we have been better stewards of our resources by focusing more on the individual interactions our staff have with their residents. Secondly, we have taken able to take advantage of teachable moments by connecting students to resources based on their needs at a particular time of the year. Third, based on our assessment data, we can be much more proactive in supporting needs of students based on our knowledge of common trends and experiences throughout the year. Finally, we have been able to collaborate with academic affairs and student affairs partners to connect students to content experts across campus and in the community to better support student needs.
