No weapons, including, but not limited to firearms, explosive devices, or weapon components, are allowed in University Housing. This also includes guns, taser guns, swords, BB guns, air pistols, pellet guns, rifles, bows, arrows, knives, or martial arts devices. Paintball guns, slingshots, explosives, fireworks, dangerous chemicals, and chemical mixtures are prohibited in University Housing, even if not used as a weapon or destructive device. Utility knives and kitchen cutlery not being used for their intended purposes are classified as weapons. Individuals authorized to carry a concealable weapon by SC Code (23-31-205 et seq.) are not permitted to possess concealable weapons in University Housing.
