How is RHA/NRHH/Community Council different from being a Residential Staff Member?

RHA, NRHH, and Community Council are open to all on-campus residential students and focuses on planning whole-community events and advocacy initiatives.

The major difference from Residential Staff is that RHA and NRHH are student organizations.

RHA serves as the voice of on-campus residents. The purpose is to better the on-campus living experience by building community, listening to students’ concerns, and providing social and educational events for residents. This is accomplished through two ways in the organization: RHA General Assembly and each Community Council. Every residential community has a Community Council that serves as the voice of the community. Councils meet to plan events for residents and get feedback on concerns specific to that community and a variety of larger campus issues. Residential Staff members are not able to serve in RHA.

NRHH is a leadership-based honorary comprised of exemplary residential students who value recognition and service within on-campus communities. NRHH promotes its values through a variety of in-hall service events and recognition initiatives. Residential Staff can be part of NRHH.
