When a fire alarm sounds, you must immediately evacuate all University buildings. Tampering with fire safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, sprinklers, EXIT signs, and the alarm system, is prohibited. Violator must pay the charges of tampering and may face disciplinary action. Do not block windows/doors or hang items from the ceiling, pipes, or sprinklers/sprinkler heads. All curtains or window treatments must be made of fire and flame-resistant materials and flammable materials such as streamers and paper should be limited on doors. Candles, incense, wax warmers, halogen lamps, lava lamps, hoverboards, and other comparable items are prohibited in University Housing.
