Sanders

Sanders Hall is part of the Shoebox community, which is your best choice for affordable residence halls packed with features. With easy access to dining, recreation, Death Valley and West-campus classes, the location is one of the best on campus. The Shoeboxes allow for close-knit communities with only 140 students in each building and great common space. There are recreation areas between the buildings and lounges throughout the halls. Each room features a sink, walk-in closets and large windows for great natural light.

Notice for 2023-24: An ongoing facilities improvement project occurring in close proximity to this building may result in construction noise, as well as changes to sidewalk, road, and parking access throughout the 2023-24 academic year. Efforts will be made to keep the inconvenience to a minimum, and we appreciate your patience and understanding if you decide to make this hall your Clemson Home.

Do I have to live on campus?

All unmarried, first-year and Bridge students who are under the age of 21 at the time of enrollment who do not live with parent(s) or legal guardian(s) [within Anderson, Oconee and Pickens counties] are required to live in University-owned housing for the fall and spring semesters.

Incoming first-year students who desire a residency waiver, and meet all of the specified requirements, must complete the appeals form.

Transfer students are not considered first-year students and are not required to live on campus. Transfer students are not guaranteed housing and will be assigned on available space.

How Can I Loft My Bed?

Can I be released from my housing contract and move off campus in December?

The University housing contract is a legally binding document, and it is for the academic year (Aug. May). Students are encouraged first to contact their Community staff with concerns regarding their housing assignment. If the concerns are not resolved satisfactorily, the student may submit such concerns to the Appeals Committee for further review.
