Benet

Benet Hall is part of the Shoebox community, which is your best choice for affordable residence halls packed with features. With easy access to dining, recreation, Death Valley and West-campus classes, the location is one of the best on campus. The Shoeboxes allow for close-knit communities with only 140 students in each building and great common space. There are recreation areas between the buildings and lounges throughout the halls. Each room features a sink, walk-in closets, and large windows for great natural light.

Notice for 2023-24: An ongoing facilities improvement project occurring in close proximity to this building may result in construction noise, as well as changes to sidewalk, road, and parking access throughout the 2023-24 academic year. Efforts will be made to keep the inconvenience to a minimum, and we appreciate your patience and understanding if you decide to make this hall your Clemson Home.

I’m a new student, can I request a roommate change after the deadline?

We understand how important your freshman year is and how it will shape the next few years.  Living with someone we don't know can be frightening and difficult. College is a time of learning and growing.  This is a time to learn to live and work with many people who may be different from us in a multitude of ways.

University Housing has live in staff in each building and on each floor that is there to help you adjust and feel comfortable.  During the first few days on campus, your RA will come by and speak with all occupants to help them address issues and to draw up a roommate agreement which will help mandate the rules for your living space.

When will I select my housing assignment?

Selection times are different for Bridge, First Year, Continuing and Transfer students, please check our events for the latest information.

Can Bridge students have a roommate that is not another Bridge student?

Bridge and First Year Clemson students are not able to live together. However, there will many opportunities for them to engage, such as in the dining halls.

Where can I view my housing assignment?

Once you have selected your housing assignment, you may view your assignment at anytime on the Housing Portal.
