I’m on the waitlist, how likely am I to get a housing assignment?

In previous years, we have always been able to house every current student who was willing to wait an option to live on campus. If you are only interested in a certain location or certain type of room, it may be more difficult and take longer to find an option.

At this time we have several hundred students who are on the Wait List who signed the 2020-2021 Housing Contract by the deadline and were unable to select Housing during Room Selection.  As spaces become available, we will reach out to those students first.

We are assigning students on the wait list as housing spaces become available. We will attempt to offer you a space to live, however, we may not be able to honor roommate request due to the large number of students requesting housing and the amount of spaces available. Please continue to check your Clemson email daily.

At the point when you receive a housing assignment there are two options:

First option: you may accept your housing assignment that is guaranteed for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Second option: If your plans have changed and you no longer wish to live with us for the 2020-2021 academic year then log in to the Clemson Home portal and cancel your housing contract and assignment. Remember, you only have 72 hours from the date and time you received your assignment email to cancel before your contract is legally binding.
