SUMMARY:EC Trivia with Dr. Skip Eisiminger!
DESCRIPTION:Please mark your calendar to attend one of the best monthly events at Clemson. Eat Susan’s delightful homemade brownies (Dr. Wainscott’s wife!) while you compete alongside goodhearted\, friendly folks while having fun with our host Dr. Skip Eisiminger! Do not miss the fun! Trivia has been defined as “things you either know immediately or not at all.” Skip’s trivia is like that. You can learn interesting stuff by participating on Zoom (no brownies that way!) or by joining in person. Some of the most interesting information is shared in conversation after each answer is revealed. EC folks are well-versed in countless topics. Skip occasionally features questions curated from presentations delivered at the Emeritus College. We continue to have the best conversations as a group of friends. Each session\, participants contribute a small amount to benefit deserving college students.

SUMMARY:Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center
DESCRIPTION:Now in its 39th season\, the Lillian and Robert Utsey Chamber Music Series offers outstanding chamber music experiences to the Clemson campus and community at no cost. Wind quintets\, a standard combination in the chamber music genre\, have the challenge\, as well as the benefits\, of bringing together five distinct instruments to explore multiple blends of timbres. World-class musicians in the CMSLC will perform August Klughardt’s Quintet in C Major\, Op. 79\, a beautiful example of great writing for each of the five instruments. The addition of piano in Louise Farrenc’s Sextet in C Minor\, Op. 40 provides expanded sonic dimensions and is a tour de force for the pianist. The program is balanced with smaller combinations featuring double reeds\, the regal sound of the horn\, and upper winds.

SUMMARY:Experience the Aurora - Free Planetarium Show
DESCRIPTION:Over seven months in the Arctic Circle\, E&S crews captured timelapse images of the Aurora Borealis with high resolution digital SLR cameras outfitted with fisheye lenses. The results are spectacular. For the first time the aurora has been captured as it was meant to be experienced\, as a display that covers the entire sky. This immersive show shares the science behind the aurora and tells the story of our quest to find and photograph the aurora for wraparound display in fulldome theaters.
