SUMMARY:Rain Barrel Workshop - Central/Clemson Library
DESCRIPTION:Want to build your own rain barrel or install an Ivy Rain Barrel? Join Anderson Pickens County Stormwater Partners (APCSP) and Pickens County Clemson Extension for a workshop on building rain barrels\, how to install them\, and what functions they can be utilized for. We will help the Central/Clemson Library install their very first rain barrel to pair with their new pollinator garden! Rain barrels are a simple way to capture and reuse rainwater from your roof for watering plants and gardens. This helps reduce stormwater runoff while saving water and supporting healthier landscapes. Small steps like installing a rain barrel can make a big difference for our local waterways. The workshop will be held on April 17th\, 2026 from 5 PM – 6 PM at the Central/Clemson Library (105 Commons Way Central\, SC 29630). You will also have the opportunity to purchase your own Ivy Rain Barrel through APCSP for pick-up on April 30th at the Garrison Arena from 3-6 PM. Questions? Contact Anaston Porter at portera@clemson.edu You can also register over the phone through the Central/Clemson Library at 864-639-2711 Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service offers its programs to people of all ages\, regardless of race\, color\, gender\, religion\, national origin\, disability\, political beliefs\, sex\, marital or family status and is an equal opportunity employer.
