SUMMARY:School Gardening for SC Educators (Asynchronous Online Course)
DESCRIPTION:School Gardening for SC Educators is a five-week online program offered by Clemson Cooperative Extension’s Horticulture and 4-H Youth Development agents. The goal of this course is to help educators\, parents\, administrators\, and other caring adults learn to garden successfully with students. Participants will learn the basic horticulture skills necessary to start and maintain their school garden. Licensed educators who successfully complete the course will receive twenty (20) renewal credits from the South Carolina Department of Education.  In addition to the online course\, your registration includes the following:  -The Seasonal Planting Guide for South Carolina School and Community Gardens\,  -The Garden STEM Curriculum for Your Garden Classroom (K-8)\,  and virtual workshop supplies\, including grade-level specific lessons and materials.  -After registering for the course\, please log in and complete the Participant Information Form so that your materials can be sent to you via mail.  The course will begin on February 2\, 2026\, and end on March 9\, 2026.

SUMMARY:Greenwood ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Training + Exam
DESCRIPTION:A one-day review course using ServSafe® materials from the National Restaurant Association (NRA).  Taught by Clemson University Food Safety and Nutrition Experts who are certified ServSafe® Instructors with the NRA.  The course concludes with the ServSafe® Certification Exam.  Successful completion of the course and certification exam meets DHEC requirements for “Certified Food Protection Manager” under federal guidelines outlined in 2-102.12(B) of the FDA Food Code.  ServSafe® Manager Certification from the National Restaurant Association will be e-mailed to participants upon successful completion of the course and certification exam. The certification is valid for five years.  The cost of the course covers the exam and exam answer sheet. The book is not included in the price of the training + exam.  Course book: ServSafe® Manager Book 9th Edition should be purchased before coming to the course: ServSafe® Product Details (https://www.servsafe.com/access/SS/Catalog/ProductDetail/ES9). Books are also available at the Greenwood County Extension Office.  Participants should bring the course book with them on the day of training.  Course topics include: Challenges to Food Safety\, Microbiology\, Contamination\, Allergens\, Food Safety Systems\, The Flow of Food\, Maintaining Sanitary Facilities and Equipment\, Pest Management and Employee Training.  A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you prior to the scheduled date of the training.       Please bring a photo ID on the day of class.   Note: The exam will be taken online. SUMMARY:Dark Matter - Free Planetarium Show
DESCRIPTION:The movie is presented by Dr Alan Duffy\, a brilliant young astronomer from the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR) at the University of Western Australia – who creates simulations of dark matter evolution inside supercomputers. Alan introduces us to the idea of dark matter\, why astronomers think it exists\, and explains why radio astronomy is so well-suited to its discovery.  We journey through completely immersive visualisations of dark matter evolution calculated upon some of the world’s fastest supercomputers – cosmological visions on a truly vast scale\, in which galaxies themselves are but points of light\, distributed across far larger intergalactic structures of Dark Matter. These visualisations\, developed by Paul Bourke\, demonstrate the cutting-edge of contemporary supercomputer visualisation of massive scientific datasets and astrophysical simulation

This organization works to collect personalized cards and trade them with other members.
