Step into the world of law with a KAPi twist! This event blends professionalism with creativity, giving PNMs the chance to sharpen their public speaking, teamwork, and critical thinking skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Part 1: Mocktails & Mingling (First 30 Minutes)The night kicks off with a relaxed mixer over handcrafted mocktails. PNMs will be randomly assigned a role—either as part of the Appellant Team, Appellee Team, or one of nine Supreme Court Justices. Brothers will be there to help brainstorm strategies, build confidence, and offer support as everyone settles into their roles.
Part 2: The Mock TrialOnce the case prompt is revealed, the courtroom simulation begins:
Appellant and Appellee Teams present their arguments.
Justices ask questions, deliberate, and issue a ruling.
The atmosphere is high-energy, collaborative, and designed to push PNMs outside their comfort zones while showcasing their ability to think on their feet.
Pro Tips & Highlights:
The case is fictional and approachable— no prior legal knowledge required.
Brothers may serve as clerks or informal team support.
The format stays light and flexible to keep everyone engaged.
We’ll wrap up with fun awards like Best Dissent, Quickest Rebuttal, and Most Persuasive.
