New this year! All new students will need to sign up for a move-in appointment.
In order to reduce vehicular traffic and move-in lines, student arrival times for move in will be staggered. All residents who plan on moving in on Friday, August 18 or Saturday, August 19 must schedule a move-in appointment. Residents checking in after these times do not need to schedule an appointment and have until the first day of classes to check in. Move-in appointments are organized by community so ensure you select your specific residential community. Also, there will be enough timeslots for all residents of a particular building to move in on August 18 or 19 if they choose to do so.
We highly recommend that you label every bag, box and bin, so volunteers can better assist while unloading your vehicle. To make this easier for you, we’ve created a label template (shown below). Download this PDF document, type in your information, and print onto Avery (r) Template 5164/8164; alternatively, you can use regular printer paper and tape it to all of your items.

Move-In Weekend occurs from Friday, August 18 – Sunday, August 20. We encourage you to review the following information for your specific move-in process and email us at email@example.com with any questions you may have prior to your arrival.
Women participating in CPC Recruitment will be able to move in between 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. Please complete your registration on the recruitment webpage. After completing your registration, you will be provided with a sign-up link for your move-in appointment.
First year students may move in by move-in appointment between 12 – 5 p.m. Please refer to your Clemson Home email regarding your assignment information and sign up via your provided move-in appointment link.
New students (first year and transfer) may move in by move-in appointment between 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Please refer to your Clemson Home email regarding your assignment information and sign up via your provided move-in appointment link.
Continuing students may move in between 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (A move-in appointment is not required.)
Early move-in is possible but requires an approved early-arrival request. Individual students should make a request based on a specific need. After June 1, click here to complete your request for early move-in. University approved groups such as Tiger Band do not need to submit a request; your information will be submitted through the sponsoring department.
In order to optimize the flow of traffic on campus, Clemson Home and the Clemson University Police Department (CUPD) have worked together to create specific driving directions for each residential community. Even though you may be very familiar with campus or prefer to use a GPS, we have adjusted normal traffic patterns to be the most effective for Move-In Weekend Traffic. We will also have Police and Parking Officials stationed around campus directing traffic to move students in as quickly as possible. If you try to come in from a different direction, it could delay getting checked in to your new Clemson Home or you could be rerouted all the way around campus. Also, thank you for following all posted traffic signage during Move-In Weekend.
Please click on your building/community below for driving directions! A large map and highlighted route should appear – for written directions and a smaller map, click “List all steps” on the left side. To see the street-view of each turn, click “Preview steps” and use the arrows to navigate.
Clemson Home and CUPD will allow you to park close to your community while unloading. To prevent delays, you will need to complete and print the unloading pass prior to arriving on-campus.
It is important that you follow the guidelines listed below:

We are excited to welcome you! Clemson Home recruits volunteers to assist new students with move-in. Volunteers will be available from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday, August 18 and Saturday, August 19 to help unload your vehicle, carry boxes and direct you to parking. Move-In Volunteers will be specifically identified with Clemson Home wristbands and easy for you to spot. Also, look for volunteers wearing orange shirts featuring our new volunteer tagline, “You Bring It. We’ll Move It.” This year’s t-shirt will also feature the Bryan Mall/Horseshoe community (picture below). Note: Volunteers have been instructed not to assist with parking cars or assembling lofts.
If you’re an upper class student and have an interest in volunteering, please email Paige Zoltewicz at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
As you plan to pack for your move to campus, remember “less is better”!
