UNIVERSITY HOUSING & DINING

Core Campus

Core Campus

The Core Campus Project is a major addition to Clemson University’s Campus Life. This 260,000-square-foot mixed use facility includes student housing, dining center and meeting spaces for faculty, staff and students. At the front of the property a new pedestrian “main street” connects Fort Hill Street with the Quad archway entrance at Norris Hall. Outdoor dining space combines with indoor options to create an array of options for the Clemson community to connect.

Core Campus A

300 student beds on the South-end of the property houses first-year students in traditional rooms with a new-to-Clemson bathroom style called a “wet core”. Three locations on each floor hold a cluster of 3-4 bathroom modules that include a toilet, sink and shower behind a single closed door offering privacy within community.

Core Campus C & D

This 260,000 square foot mixed-use facility includes student housing, retail and residential dining, and home to the Calhoun Honors College. University Housing & Dining is proud to be in full partnership with our Honors College colleagues in expanding our long term, highly successful Living-Learning Community from its Holmes Hall space and expanding its scope to become Clemson’s first Residential College.

400 Honors students live on-site in Suite-style rooms, while all Clemson Honors students enjoy the public community spaces that includes central lounges, study rooms, a library space, a Grand Hall and two classroom spaces. The Faculty-in-Residence helps plan and implement educational, recreational, social and cultural programs while serving as a role model, mentor, adviser, teacher, and leader in the residential community. Administrative spaces in the facility houses all Honors office staff, including providing a new home for the National Scholars and Major Fellows Programs.

        • There are a few private rooms available on the sixth floor, which may be selected during room sign up (step three). Due to the limited number of private rooms, we cannot anticipate availability because it is dependent on how quickly they are selected during the sign-up process. Also, the sixth floor has wet core bathrooms located at various points on the floor.
